The Gershwin Hotel is First Hotel to Receive New Red Phone from Inn-Phone®

Inn-Phone®, a leading manufacturer and supplier of guest room telephones to the hospitality industry, today announced that The Gershwin Hotel in New York City is the first hotel to install Inn-Phone’s new, red TL-420 series phone to complement the hotel’s eclectic taste. Billed as “The Preferred Address for the Creative International Traveler,” it is located in the Flat Iron district located between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue, and also hotel hosts an art gallery, live theatre shows and has artists living in residence year-round.

Parent company of Inn-Phone, Med-Pat®, first began using the red

phones 8 years ago in hospitals. Primarily used for hospital emergencies, the market for red phones in the hospitality industry seemed virtually non-existent. That’s when The Gershwin hotel came calling.
With 150 rooms, The Gershwin Hotel’s rooms range from family suites to bunk beds with pieces of art everywhere; even the exterior of the hotel is covered in art.

“The Gershwin Hotel is probably the most unique hotel I’ve ever been in or seen,” stated Doug Zagha, president of Inn-Phone. “Most people think of phones as phones, but at The Gershwin, everything is viewed as art, and I couldn’t be happier that our phones are part of that concept.”

The phones feature a high luster, eurostyle ABS cabinet with a customized faceplate. The other model featuring Inn-Phones’ signature red color is the D520 series single line telephone.
