The Sail Through Cancer Foundation announced that Systems Products International (SPI) is a founding sponsor, while Bryan Cave, LLP; Parker Madison and Kitchen Couture are corporate sponsors. The Sail Through Cancer Foundation was founded by Dick Drechsler, author of Manning Up In Alaska (www.ManningUpInAlaska.com) to assist cancer patients/survivers through the restorative nature of boating.

The Sail Through Cancer Foundation (www.sailthrucancer.org), is a 501(c )(3) tax exempt organization. The organization supports a “Six Point Call For Presidential Action” for the reform of treatment for cancer sufferers. Dick is currently in the process of recruiting an Armada of Hope|–|a cadre of boaters willing to volunteer one afternoon a season to take cancer survivors out on the water – and plans to have 1000 volunteers by the end of 2010.
