Celebrity Resorts hosts the 2009 Job Shadow Day for students from the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management

Celebrity Resorts, a vacation ownership company with resort destinations across the U.S., today announced that the timeshare company hosted the resort operations segment of the 2009 Job Shadow Day on World Tourism Day, Friday, September 25.

Approximately 20 students from the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management gathered at Celebrity Resorts Orlando, the company’s flagship resort. Celebrity Resorts’ management team gave the students an overview of the various careers available in resort operations, showcased the company’s processes in the areas of front desk, housekeeping, security and maintenance, and demonstrated Celebrity Resorts’ guest service standards.

“These students are the future of the hospitality industry, so it’s very important that we open our doors and allow them the opportunity to experience the careers available and understand what makes our industry so great,” said Melissa Van Dine, the senior vice president of human resources and guest experiences at Celebrity Resorts.
