RCI Honored by American Resort Development Association ss “Employer of the Year” and RCI’s Jennifer Vanlerberghe Wins first-ever “Women on their Way” Award Published April 7, 2009 RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), was selected as “Employer of the Year,” while associate Jennifer Vanlerberghe received ARDA’s first-ever Circle of Excellence “Women on Their Way” award at the association’s 2009 gala ceremony in Orlando, Florida, last week. “RCI prides itself on having the most talented, engaged and service oriented associates in the hospitality business who are committed to delivering great vacation experiences at every interaction and touch point,” said Geoff Ballotti, President and CEO, Group RCI. “These awards demonstrate the commitment by our business and associates like Jennifer to our ‘Count On Me!’ service ethos for our members and affiliates. It’s a great honor for all of RCI’s associates to be recognized by our colleagues throughout the industry, and to see so many of our affiliates at this event honored as well.” RCI also received an award in the advertising and promotion category for “Passport,” the company’s internal internet-enabled communications vehicle distributed monthly to its associates across the globe. The ARDA awards are an opportunity to recognize those companies and individuals who have demonstrated excellence in the industry. The ACE awards honor specific individuals who have attained the highest level of excellence in their fields or have demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of the industry as a whole. The Employer of the Year award recognized RCI’s efforts to help its associates develop and grow their personal and professional experiences in rewarding careers with the business. The award highlighted RCI’s “CATALYST” program which focuses on identifying, developing and retaining the best possible leadership talent available by combining innovative techniques to keep the energy high and the leadership learning impactful. The 2009 ARDA Awards Program also featured the first-ever ACE Women on Their Way award. Honoree Vanlerberghe joined RCI as customer segment manager in 2003 when RCI was in the midst of forming a new customer internet and social networking strategy. As part of these efforts, Vanlerberghe was a lead contributor as RCI’s online presence transformed itself into a key customer-servicing and inventory distribution channel central to RCI’s global business. Now a full-time business leader of the strategy and implementation of RCI’s online services, Vanlerberghe has been a driving force in implementing RCI’s “member-centric” customer strategy into the business’s website presence through the Enhanced Search project, one of the most significant and groundbreaking technology initiatives ever implemented in the timeshare industry which has helped RCI nearly double its North America online transactional share.
